Skip is the 1999 and 2008 Midwest Section PGA Teacher of theYear. Golf Digest first recognized Skip as one of the Top Instructors in Kansas in 1999 and he has been on the list ever since. in 2005, he was ranked #1 in Kansas. Golf Magazine has had Skip ranked since 1999 also as one of the top Teachers in North America and Regionally in the Midwest.
 
Skip is currently a Lead Instructor for the ESPN Golf Schools presented by American Express. Skip has taught over 100 schools for ESPN in the last 5 years.
 
Skip's CHAMPS program has dominated the competitive junior golf scene in the Midwest for the past 15 years. With over 600 wins and counting, CHAMPS students have won every high school tournament , junior tournament and many state and national events.
 
Currently, CHAMPS students have won 29 High School Regional and State Championships combined!
